take care of brows! (plz)
nano brows after care tips
DAYs 1-3: DO NOT get your brows wet!
Color at this stage: redness and irritation will subside a few hours after the appointment, dark and intense no scabbing yet
DAYS 4-10: WASH + MOISTURIZE
Wash daily to remove bacteria and dead skin- this will not remove the pigment. Gently wash your eyebrows each morning with lukewarm water. With a VERY LIGHT TOUCH carefully wash the brow in a circular motion and rinse with water ensuring that all the lymph built up fluid (if any)is rinsed away. Gently pat dry with a tissue. Apply aftercare ointment with clean fingertips to washed and blotted dry brows 3-5 times a day. When it comes to using ointment, less is more. It’s important that the brows “breath”while they heal, not suffocate and smother. A good rule of thumb is to use about a half a size of grain of rice amount on each brow. It is a MUST to only touch brows with clean hands!
Color at this stage: scabbing has started and looks as if it is loosing color
Days 11 and on:
Let the scabs fall off naturally. Please note that some people may take longer than others to fully heal, therefore scabs may stay longer than 10 days- that is completely OK. DO NOT RUB, SCRATCH, OR PICK! Picking will result in scaring or loss of color. After scabs fall off, the tattooed are will appear to be lighter- this is because a layer of skin grows over the treated ares. Allow up to 4 weeks for full results to yield.
Color at this stage: scabbing should be subsiding and the color will look very faint
after 2 weeks: you may resume all regular activities and skin care routine
after 3 weeks: use spf 60 to protect your brows from fading
IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:
During the firs week of healing the Nano Brows will be looking dark and intense. It is important to remember that the first week of new brows is not the true result. The scabbing phase is 2 weeks. Total healing can take up to 4 weeks for color to regenerate.
Things to avoid while healing:
tanning, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, gym, or anything that may cause you to sweat excessively
facials, chemical peels, retinols, vitamin e oils or any products that may promote skin to peel more rapidly
avoid wetting the new brows for the first 3 days
no make-up
activities that require you to lay on your face
picking or peeling scabs
